The room was a good size and well equipped - clean and tidy. Dinner was good - the breakfast was probably the best I've ever had in a hotel / pub.

Overall stay and staff were great. Evening meal and breakfast both excellent
Traffic on the M6 eating into the time we were able to spend here on our arrival night; but there is NOTHING the hotel could have done about it and their communications as we neared the hotel were great!

Poor breakfast and diners. There were issues with the cooks and this has heavily impacted us. We’ve booked 5 nights including breakfast and the hotel has not been able to provide decent breakfast at least 3 mornings in a row. Without mentioning that the coffee machine worked and we have been told that it was broken.
We did like that our issue has not been sorted and the hotel was supposed to come back to us and so far nothing has been delayed with.
