When I travel to mazatlan I always book Costa de oro for the location
The room needs a makeover asap shower door wasn’t closing so all water was coming out all over the bathroom.a guy in the pool told me I couldn’t eat my popcorn but there was a couple of guys eating chips with the big bags and nothing was said to them so rules need to be applied to all don’t pick and choose.

This an old establish facility that is showing it's age. The Junior suite that I upgraded to did not have a single dresser drawer. When I asked for something with a drawer, they gave me a two drawer vanity, with a stool. When there wasn't hot water at any of the faucet, they suggested that I let it run for a while. That didn't help. Finally on Friday I had steaming hot water. It had run out by Sunday morning. There was just the bare minimum of silverware and plates. Two forks, two spoons, and two knives. There was a small table and two chairs. The maid service was excellent. Lots of towels and soap. The A/C worked good. There was only one small elevator working. There wasn't a lot of people, until the weekend, then getting an elevator on a timely basis was tough. To use the pool jacuzzi, you had to pay extra or buy a timeshare. All the staff that I encountered were excellent. In a nut shell, even with all its faults, I would stay there again.

Old beech front hotel. Could use some updating. Only one working elevator. Great location. Breakfast very good. Pool size good. Chairs need cushions. Staff excellent.
Terrible pillows.
