Edra Palace Hotel & Ristorante

The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean. Excellent air con and a safe. Plenty of storage although we were there for 10 nights so the clothes hangers were inadequate so I had to get some more. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and bins emptied. The grounds were immaculate and the pool was exceptional. The staff were lovely and attentive. Best breakfast I’ve had by a long shot in a hotel and such lovely staff. Gym was good and had all the equipment needed. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and the bagnino on duty was lovely. Loads of car parking which is locked on an evening so very secure.

Lack of a decent toaster at breakfast time. Apart from this the breakfast was amazing

No shuttle service to go to centre . When I asked about bus services, times etc, reception staff had no idea.. This information would be useful, im sure, to guests

Location was good just off A1, but difficult to walk out of the hotel due to no pavements. Lovely swimming pool, certainly adequate for our needs. Breakfast was nice, lots of cake items but limited hot items. The restaurant was nice and reasonably priced with very nice waiters. Reception was helpful too.

The lifts played up a little, whilst not a major problem for us was a little annoying, particularly when checking out. The car par was quite exposed and could have had a few more covered spaced with potential solar panels on the roofs.

The hotel is oldish and run-down. Not a 4-star property by any stretch of the imagination. Peeling paint. Scratched walls. Crappy breakfast. Terse front desk staff. Seemed unhappy to speak English even though they spoke it well.
