The location is peaceful. The accommodation comfortable,. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. Everything I needed from an overnight stay

The staff were welcoming. They had sent an email to explain how to gain access but I had not picked this up, but I was escorted to the room and Freda ensured I was comfortable. The bed was confortable, the surroundings were quiet and the room warm, with plenty of space to hang clothes or store them. The bathroom was small but well apportioned with an easy to use shower; there were plenty of towels and all was spotlessly clean.
Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and tasty; there were a number of choices based on the English breakfast preceded by fruit juice, yoghurt and a bowl of fruit - lovely to have plums.
I normally sleep with a window open except in the darkest days of winter; there did not seem to be any way of opening a window even by a small amount.
