Das Tani House ist ein süsses, altes, japanisches Haus. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend und ist umgeben von anderen Wohnhäusern. Es ist kein typisch touristischer Ort.
Frau Tani war sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Unterkunft war etwas schmutzig an einigen Stellen (Badezimmer).

It is a very traditional house. It’s very nice to be able to experience that while in Kyoto. The host is very friendly and I felt very welcomed. It is also close to Funaokayama, perfect place to view Gozan no Okuribi in August.
It is a very old house and in summer, there can be bugs from outside. Again, not what I expected, but understandable.

Very unique and traditional ryokan run by incredible woman.
Superb if you want to feel a bit like local.
Home cooked traditional breakfast was superb and lady who runs the hotel it’s a superwoman 🥰
There is an amazing onsen 7 min walk from the property.
It’s a bit cold but they try to have heating on in all places.
Shared bathroom it’s not for everyone. And privacy it’s close to none but this is the price for seeing a traditional side of living in Japan.

I loved the owner. She is super friendly! Also the location is next to Imamiya-jinja Shrine. My favourite Shrine in Kyoto!
Its a little run down so be prepared!
