LOCATION: This property is well located. Based just off orchard road, close to two malls within 5/10 min walk & metro station, it was easy to get around to all main tourist areas. We walked to Fort Canning park in 10 mins, Clarke Quay in 15 mins, boat quay 20 min & main marina area in 25/30 mins.
PROPERTY: Reception area is lovely, welcoming & always refreshingly cool. Staff were attentive & helpful. Coffee machine in reception a great bonus as no daily coffee/tea facilities in room itself.
ROOM: We were upgraded from a 2 bed to 3 bed apartment - the size of apartment was great: good size bedrooms & bathrooms. Kitchen was small but fully kitted out & washer/dryer was well used & greatly appreciated given how humid it was. We had 2 leaky taps in main bathroom & although shampoo/body wash/conditioner provided, these are tiny, single use & we had to regularly ask for more as 4 people staying & only 2 of each in room. We found the beds a little on the hard side, the quilts thinner than standard hotel ones & air con in room either ran constantly or was off but once you got used to this it wasn't an issue. We loved the space & flexibility the apartment gave us as a family of 2 adults & 2 teens: space to come together & space to relax separately as desired.
As these are serviced apartments, cleaning is only 3 times a week: either Mon/Wed/Fri or Tues/Thurs/Sat. This isn't too much of an issue but as we arrived Thursday morning & left Wednesday morning it meant we only had cleaning once during our stay. Overall, the hotel is very well kept in reception & rooms but the corridors are very warm & quite worn.
Breakfast is basic, with a very limited choice of cereal, bread, fruit & a few pastries, and is only available Monday-Friday, so again, for the timing of our stay there were 2 mornings out of the 5 we were there where no breakfast was available. Whilst we did read this & were aware when booking, given the overall cost of our stay a wider selection at breakfast would have been more appealing. The breakfast room staff worked exceptionally hard constantly restocking items & clearing up & were very helpful if you had any questions.
Unfortunately, the pool at the property was undergoing maintenance during our stay. I cannot remember seeing this mentioned at the time of making our booking. Whilst the property offered pool facilities at a sister property, these were a 5-10 min taxi away which had to be arranged with reception to take you there & then bring you back. We used this service a number of times but overall it meant we didn't swim/use the pool facilities as often as we would have or had planned to due to the need to plan this more carefully. With the humidity so high, it would have been much nicer to be able to head straight up to the pool after a long day exploring but instead we ended up taking more baths/showers rather than swimming due to these works.

Great location to both the MRT & Orchard Road. Unfortunately the pool was being repaired while we were there so we didn’t get any time around the pool like we were hoping to. We were offered transport to another venue though. The staff were fantastic. We had a problem with the shower in our first apartment and we were moved to a higher standard apartment the next day. As we were there for the Formula 1 racing, they also supplied us both with a portable fan to keep us cool at the race track.
Not any gluten free options at breakfast.
