It's a great value for a clean well-located place to stay. Two metro stations close by.
If I had to complain I would say that the room where the showers are located felt a little damp. Obviously the showers are damp but the room itself could use more ventilation.

Never any soap in the dispensers in all the years I have stayed there also cleaners only cleaned my room every 3 days I bet the female s in rooms got theirs cleaned everyday .

The hostel has a charming courtyard and a pleasant common area around the lobby. Its location is excellent, just steps from Kontraktova Ploshcha and amazing Podil district. Staff members were helpful despite their long work shifts (common in Ukraine). Many thanks! The rooms were reasonably spacious, and the adjacent Druzi Bar would be a great addition once the renovation is completed.
The showers and toilets showed clear signs of age and heavy use - time for refurbishment? The subterranean kitchen and dining area were so dirty that I didn't want to use at all. Due to the ongoing conflict, many guests were locals who lived and worked out of the hostel, and they cared less for cleanliness.

The staff is friendly and helpfull, and nice restaurant inside Druzi. Central location near Kontraktova square.
A passable place to stay few nights, but there are no bed curtains and no privacy in the mixed-gender dorms. The bathrooms were also dirty and the sinks were ferquently clogged.
