Would stay again

The room was a reasonable size. The bed was firm and comfortable. It was hot, and there was a fan in the room without having to ask for one. There was a problem at breakfast because a bird flew in when the door opened, meaning for health and hygiene reasons, they had to remove and clean everything from the dining room. We couldn't have breakfast because we had time restrictions. But the staff were very helpful and refunded the price of breakfast and directed us to a lovely café. They were under a lot of stress but remained professional and helpful.

The lights beside the bed could not turn off individually, and the light on the bathroom mirror also couldn't be used individually. So if one person wanted to read, all the room lights had to be on. Similarly, you can't leave the little mirror lights as a night light. We wanted a hot chocolate before bed but they turned off the machine nearly an hour before closing time in the bar.

Would certainly return.

Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful and a real surprise to find Yorkies and gravy being offered as part of it.

Bathroom a bit dated and the shower head was grubby.

the windows are old and did not shut properly, so was quite drafty

convenient location for commuting into London

wasn’t able to check in properly after 10.00 so I had to leave my driving licence with the staff overnight

The entire room was lovely, the bathroom was sparkling absolutely loved it. loved how close to home it was also.

Fiona the barmaid outstanding

Fiona the waitress was excellent really all the stars go to her. she was brilliant

the other staff. I think they were under staffed but we was waiting a very long time just to be checked in. they didn’t even say “bear with we know you’re waiting “ they were trying to serve at the bar and straight after serving got coats then left their shift. not very professional

Nice place.... Beds need an upgrade.

Parking is free, Toby Carvery is always a winner. Staff were friendly

The bed was too hard, either a topper or new mattresses are needed.

Exceptional

Lovely accommodation and very convenient to Eden Park train station. Easy to get to from Gatwick Airport. Very very very nice staff.

Would love a continental option on breakfast but the hot food was lovely.

we are familiar with this hotel having stayed many times, it was clean and comfortable as usual

clean bedroom and bathroom with good shower free car parking easy access to cooked breakfast

we had to make 3 separate bookings to get 3 night stay we couldn't get the Genius deal on our 3rd night so paid about £10 extra

Carpets were badly marked, paint was peeling off the walls in one location due to damp

Good location with good food, let down by room

Location, ground floor room with no steps, wet room, good carvery and breakfast Free parking, little traffic noise, friendly staff.

Bed was very and high for wife with short legs, noise from adjacent rooms, poor sound insulation Toilet seat loose, toilet flush loose, hole in bathroom ceiling, bathroom fan running continuously Bedside lamp broken, Squegy mop in wet room would be good as floor very wet after shower

Bedroom carpet could do with a clean plus a few minor repairs in the room. Shame no free Wi-Fi you n rooms.

Disappointing

Food and staff in restaurant were wonderful

Our room was next to the corridor fire door which closes very slowly until last 6 inches then slams shut with a loud bang. This kept us awake until after 1am then started again at 5.30. Might as well of slept in the car.
