The shower water was hot, the breakfast was included, the room was cool, the staff was polite, laundry was there, bars were there, it was a block away from all the action. Its a hidden gem.
The place was great overall, no issues. But if I had to say one thing..it would be that I wish that drinking water was on the top floor too and I wish they had a hot and cold water dispenser. Maybe some complimentary coffee and tea for guest.

The hotel is a centrally located interesting styled buidling with little patio's and sitting areas on each floor. The rooms are a good size and my bed was comfortable. Plus the rooms all have airconditioning which is essential because Palenque is soooooo hot.
Staff: The receptionist was the most unfriendly and unhelpful person i have met in my entire 2 plus months in Mexico. There was a constant frown on her face and every ask made appeared to be a big ask. This was in sharp contrast to the cleaner who was very pleasant. Its a shame really because staff can make or break the atmosphere in a hotel and I think this receptionsit is doing this hotel a real disservice.
Rooms:
1. There are no mini fridges in the rooms, this is a significant miss in a city as hot as Palenque. It means you have to dash out everytime you want a drink of cold water.
2. Several rooms only have internal windows which means they open onto overlooked inner patios or corridors. This means curtains must be kept drawn for complete privacy.
3. There are several flights of steps to the higher floor and noone to help with luggage, so be mindful when booking your room if you have heavy luggage

The property is well located very close to the centre of Palenque. The room was clean with a good shower. The hotel also has a nice communal space on the second floor. The breakfast was also very good.
It is such a shame that a good business like this is being potentially ruined by a loud, inconsiderate nightclub opposite. It’s not the hotel’s fault but the bring you earplugs if you want anything close to a nights sleep. I feel so sorry for this hotel.
