Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Sehr nettes, freundliches Personal. Zu meinem Geburtstag wurde der Frühstückstisch schön eingedeckt und wir bekamen ein Glas Sekt. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sehr sauber. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast.

No elevator, no restaurant in hotel for dinning, small double bed, the bathroom had a sliding glass door instead of a normal door (no privacy), inconvenient location (we had to return to Bad Schandau for everything and there's only one bus to go that runs once every hour), nearest restaurant was about 30min walk, room was very small.

Convenient

The location was suitable for my itinerary along the Malerweg. There was a bar, the room was warm and cosy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great - so much choice and all fresh ingredients.

No kettle in the room was really not convenient, as sometime you want to make a tea or a soup, especially considering the location is on a hiking route. There is no restaurant in the hotel.

A really nice hotel

Reception was very helpful; I indeed got the transit pass as promised in other reviews, which was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious - coffee on the table upon arrival. Lots of unique outdoor spaces to relax in. I liked that there were bottled refreshments (including beer/wine) available for purchase on the honor system. Location was pretty and quiet.

I booked a room with balcony but what I had was really a roof deck over the building below and view of the parking area, with trees beyond, looking side-to-side. There were other rooms with a truer balcony that had nice views. It was ok in the end and may have been exactly what I chose but hadn't paid attention. It was minor to the the overall offerings of the hotel and the variety of outdoor seating areas mitigated this disappointment. Also, not the hotel's fault but the main town and this hotel (and many others) are separated by a river, requiring either the scheduled ferry crossing, a 15 minute bus ride to the other side of town, or your own vehicle.. if you arrive by train it would be useful to figure out the bus immediately (or ask the hotel in advance for this info) so as to take the bus to the hotel. I am a big walker and it helps me learn the layout, but this was a bit of a hike.

Beautiful place hotel bad location

The place was beautiful and clean.

To get to bad schanda you need to take two busses or walk for 20 minutes and wait for a ferry. Is not very convenient and a bit complicated.

Great breakfast, comfy bed, clean and comfortable rooms

The reception closes around 21-22 and they do not serve dinner, so you should plan to check in beforehand. The town has very limited (late) dining options, just couple of guest houses which are either fully booked or closed at like 8 pm. Therefore if you arrive late, plan to check in before 21:00 and consider having a dinner in Bad Schandau (more restaurants and some have kitchen open past 21:00)

A great hotel for cycling tourists!

Great clean hotel located in a beautiful little town called Krippen. Friendly staff who helped me figure out how to use the areas great ferry and train system. They have a great and secure bike storage system so easy to park bike there. There are only a few restaurants in the area but they are very good just be sure to reserve with the hotel! I highly recommend visiting this lovely hotel in Krippen. Also use the sauna, its amazing!

Superb

Very nice hotel, modern and clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful owners and stuff. Quiet location - you only hear flowing water sounds from the nearby stream.

Great location for a family vacation

Great location close to the amazing hiking and biking trails, there's also a bus stop next to the hotel. Area was not crowded by tourists though, which is nice. Hotel has provided us even with the rental kids bike, all the bikes are in good condition and of good quality. Elbenweg is beautiful and easy to ride a bike with kid, me and my son enjoyed this a lot. Service is great, we were very welcomed there and provided with a whole lot of useful information. The view from the suite was amazing.

The best place to stay 😁

I stayed there for one week with my parents. We couldn't end up in a better place! The stay was great. The staff is very nice, always there to help you. Rooms are very clean, you can change towels everyday, basically the whole place is very tidy. Breakfast is not very diverse however tasty. Also the bar is a great option, you can drink tea or some very good drinks. The parking is big, which is also a benefit. What I loved is that we got a pack of local-made pasta. It is a very lovely gift, thank you! All in all, I really recommend this nice place. You will not regret it :)

Breakfast could be more varied, but still it was tasty and enough :)

This is one of the most beautiful parts of Germany. We hiked the Malerweg. Each stage was special.

The hotel provides you with a local transport card to use the trains and buses for free! Great breakfast too.
