I was in one of the new rooms across the road. I had stayed here before and the new rooms seem to have slighly better facilities. Such a great value motel and perfect for my trips to lower hutt.
Only issue I had was some family checking in around 1am which was quite annoying as they were outside my room and quite noisy. No complaints about the facilities and the issue was really how inconsiderate the guests were...not the hosts.

I arrived to check in to see a note on the door to call reception. this would be a barrier for Deaf persons with no option of texting.
Despite this check in was smooth and I was able to access the room key with ease.
Kitchen wasn't well equipped for the amount of people we booked the room for. The same with bedding and towels.
We booked for 5 people and there were only 4 towels, two beds set up, no bedding for the fold out couch.
Rang reception to ask for these items and was met with there's towels and bedding in your room, I reminded that we were a family of five and required these items.
I was asked if I needed them now as they didn't service rooms until the next morning I replied yes, we have five people. Waited 30mins until someone arrived with bedding. The blanket had a very strong unpleasant curry spice smell so I didn't use it for the fold out couch, lucky I had my own blankets in the car.
I had to ask for the towels again, and also a pillow because again five people and only 3 pillows. Communication and understanding took a while but we got there eventually and the person was very lovely.
The room needs a proper clean- clean under furniture, wipe behind microwave etc.
Stairs creak really loudly. Bathroom door frame needs fixing.
Had to put the table up against the front door for safety as we didn't trust the door lock.
Can't really comment on the reception staff service as no one met them.
