Selborne Hotel

Excellent service, had to change rooms due to 1st room being cold, problem was dealt with quickly by excellent receptionist. Food and drink all good and, waiters in dining room were lovely, just ask the two barmen for a wee smile, smiles go a long way. Thank you once again Selborne Hotel, will be back.

The location was central. Breakfast was very good.

Good choice of cereals, porridge, juices, jams. Excellent choice of cooked to order breakfast. Choice of usual cooked breakfast and vegetarian cooked option, scrambled and boiled eggs. Sausage and bacon sandwich. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Dunoon and ferry terminal. My room had excellent sea views and plenty of storage. Usual tv, kettle, sachets, hairdryer and toiletries in dispenser. Room was very clean and everything in order. Despite coach parties passing through, it's a quiet hotel. Walk from hotel through garden onto the promenade. There is nightly entertainment eg bingo and cabaret acts. Good stocked bar with drinks and snacks.

Creaky floors but only to be expected for a building of this age. Could do with a towel rail in the bathroom.
