Wangaratta motel

Nice size room with air-conditioning and good bathroom facilities. Pool was great to cool off after the long drive.

Mattress needs to be updated to hard springs needs to be updated. TV too small for the room and fridge needs moving in to a different place out of the way. Pool ladder is broken and dangerous will need replacing soon as possible.

perfect place to stay overnight travelling Sydney to Melbourne, without blowing the budget

it was hot so aircon was great, room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. I accidentally left some things behind and they kindly held them till I returned a week later. staff were cheerful and helpful

A larger jug or other water container so there was more cool water (it was very hot)

The staff and the room was lovely and clean

Put bottled water in the fridges put some effort into the pool area it is very tired and the ladder pulled away from the side it was very unsafe

Excellent short stay accommodation in Wangaratta

Exceptionally clean and welcoming. Friendly and quick check-in. Room facilities comfortable and everything you need for a short stay.

Gardens and lawns look very tired and some maintenance would greatly add to the amenity of the common area grounds

Location was great. We were just breaking our trip and it was surrounded by choices for dinner etc

parking was great, rooms were very good for 5 adult and very close to food places all walking distance, and the staff were helpful

It’s ok for a travel stop, fairly old school but it is at the budget end so to be expected.

The location is good. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The facilities are basic but adequate. It was ok for an overnight stay.

The bed was very hard. I am older and have some arthritis and this bed was not comfortable for me. No give in it at all. If you like a hard bed you will be fine.

Everything just worked for me in choosing Wangaratta Motor Inn for my stay.

The room was comfortable and spacious and the location was handy to the train station.

Great place we have stayed here a few times and would return again

Location, reasonable price, clean tidy, microwave staff friendly, quiet location

The fan in bathroom needs to be better maybe replace or cleaned apart from that we like this place

Serviceable motel, reasonable room rate.

The motel serviced our needs, we had travelled to Wangaratta for a swimming competition. Location was great as the motel is very close to town (easy walking distance to shops and restaurants) and to the pool (short drive). Room was clean and warm. Plenty of car parking space.

The mattress was dreadful and requires replacing (room 13) - it is very sunken on the left hand side. We did have a small issue with the booked rate being changed by the motel after the booking was accepted, however, after I contacted the motel directly they communicated well and agreed to honour my original booked rate which I appreciated.

The location was great. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating.

There were cobwebs on the outside of the bathroom window and there were no toiletries apart from hand/body wash

Running water. Checking out.

Beyond the filthy front glass restaurant windows, the pot holed driveway leads to a cloud of strong incense at reception. Room very old, tired/dated and tidy, but certainly not clean. Shower grout mouldy. Bathroom fan noisy and ineffective due to blanket of lint stuck on it. Window was jammed open - probably to help disperse steam. It instead let in freezing air and highway noise. Sink cracked. Taps not labelled hot or cold. Split system also noisy and chugs, probably through a blocked filter? Cleaning and effort do not cost money. I don't understand why they are not across these basics. One light switch for whole room located next to door. Every light is either on with whole room lit up, or off onto total darkness. We opened the microwave door for a touch of light to navigate. No bedside lamps, so no reading in bed. Electric blanket not working. One fixed bedside table. No where to put water glass for second person except on floor. Bought a water bottle to prevent spilling. You get what you pay for, but for the extra $10 our friends paid for at hotel up the road, this was not worth it. It was a penthouse by comparison. Shop around. You can do so much better!

Value for money

The property is close to everything, supermarkets, mall, resto/fast food. It was also quiet during at night. The main bed has electric blankets, and a working aircon. The beds were comfy, and has extra blankets needed in case. My family was really happy with our booking here.

Some areas need cleaning as there were spider webs, but not too much to worry about.

Close to everything, easy to get to. Affordable

Bed super warm. However heater dusty. Wifi didnt work but was cheap, close to everything I needed and the kids had a great time. Good for a quick stop over.
