We couldn't recommend Addo African Home highly enough for anyone looking to stay in the Addo area. The accommodation itself is beautiful and incredibly unique, made even more special by the fact each room is surrounded by nature. The food in the restaurant (both breakfast and evening meals) was delicious but what really made this property stand out was the staff. Each and every member of the team from the security guard at the gate to the housekeepers and waiting staff were friendly, welcoming and incredibly accommodating. Little touches such as hot water bottles placed in your bed in the evening alongside a little nightcap and traditional story was truly special and appreciated. One morning during our stay we went out on a game drive to Addo and we would like to pay particular thanks to our game driver Wanele who was fantastic. His passion and enthusiasm for his job and the animals is infectious and he is incredibly knowledgeable. Don't miss out on an opportunity to do a game drive with Wanele while at Addo, it is truly a highlight of the three weeks we spent in South Africa.

The room was beautiful and an extra special touch was having a hot water bottle placed in your bed and a night cap placed in your room each night. The food was delicious and the greens were freshly grown and picked from their own garden.

Es un hotel bonito. El desayuno para llevar que nos hicieron estaba muy bien, además cenamos la noche anterior en el restaurante y la comida estaba muy rica, aunque no es barato precisamente. Nos pusieron agua y un chupito de moscatel con galletas.
En la habitación hacia bastante frio, cuesta mucho calentarla.
Y lo peor de todo, es que mientras estabamos en el restaurante, cenando, te apuntan a la hora que quieres cenar y, por tanto, te tienen totalmente controlado, entraron en la habitación y nos quitaron dinero de la mochila. Parece ser, que en Sud Africa es común que te quiten algo, pero no todo, para que no te des cuenta. Escribimos al hotel y nos contestaron diciendo que lo sienten y que lo pondrian en conocimiento de los managers, fin, esa fue toda su disculpa. Muy decepcionante, porque no te puedes fiar de dejar las cosas en tu propia habitación, os recomiendo que utiliceis al caja fuerte.
