Relaxed and Beautiful Winery Immersion

Staying at Holden Manz House was very special! The place is very beautiful and safe, surrounded by nature and the winery, there are lots of details at the hotel that make you feel relaxed and comfortable. It was also special to meet and be greeted the family, try the wine and have a massage. Overall, all the service, communication was super friendly and we enjoyed the stay.

Tranquility and spending quality time are the main things we were looking for and that is exactly what we got. Beautiful views, away from our usual busy city life. The place was clean, great staff - very welcoming. We felt like we were part of the family and the team made great suggestions on local restaurants to visit for dinner. The complimentary wine tasting and wine in our suite were highly appreciated. We did not feel the impact of loadshedding because the house had a back up power supply. The second day of our stay was a cold day but we had wine and a fire place in our suite to make everything alright.

This was place wad perfect, beautiful grounds, amazing staff and tranquil. It's very close to the centre but far enough away that you have peace. They gave us free wine tasting with spectacular views and you can walk around and explore the grounds

Franschoek shows its most beautiful face from here

My husband and I had been planning to stay at this hotel for a long time. We expected a lot from Holden Manz and we were not disappointed at all. The hotel is managed with maximum attention to details and has a special vibe. The breakfast they offer is a miracle, not the boring egg dishes but really special dishes on the menu. The wine tasting was also wonderful. Thank you very much we really enjoyed our stay there. In addition, we were greeted by three Hungarian vizsla which made us feel good because we are Hungarian :)

Beautiful vineyard overnight stay ☀️

Very special place, beautiful and large property. Cool design and art. Friendly staff and overall very calm and relaxing. And maybe most importantly the vine is delicious (loved the included vine tasting!!)

The room we stayed in was relatively dark, a couple more lights would be helpful and bathroom could be updated eventually

The house is beautiful, and the setting is out of this world. Our room was in an annex with a lovely balcony where we could enjoy the sunset with a nice bottle of wine. The friendly staff couldn’t do enough for us.

Warm hospitality and luxurious accommodation.

The old Cape Dutch home is nestled between the stunning Franschhoek mountains with amazing views of the vineyards and mountains. The common areas are very luxurious and comfortable with stylish furniture and an impressive art collection on display. Breakfast was an absolute treat with a wide selection of options to choose from.

There was just an absence of staff and no office to bring matters to the attention of management.

I ordered French Toast for breakfast, expecting "French Toast" only to be disappointed by two slices of ordinary white bread fried in an egg batter with rashers of bacon, hardly "french toast" from a French establishemnt!

There was an issue with the air conditioner in that it could not be switched on and when I called for assistance to switch it on was, after some time, told that it was an electrical fault and would be reported.

The location and estate was beautiful

The customer service experience was poor. I was charged multiple times for a single stay and did not get a response from the staff. I had to resort to sorting it out out on my own with my bank.

5 star wine lands hospitality. I would highly recommend!

A perfect peaceful location to spend a few days in the wine lands area. Lovely owners and staff provide a home from home feeling. Breakfast on the terrace is fantastic enjoying views of the vineyards, mountain range and blue skies! Don't just take my word for it though, book it, you wont be disappointed!

Beautifully situated and breathtaking view. Manager Anke was very friendly and helpful.

By all means this is NOT a 5 star accomodation, rather a 3. Despite the natural setting outside, inside not a single flower in a vase, sterile atmosphere. Stains from misused cleaning detergents in bathtub and sinks. Overall lockdown time could have been used to do some neccesssary maintenance (broken gazebo?). There was no fridge in the room, cheap plastic watercooker. Supposingly the family owning the estate lives there and we saw some people (not staff) entering/exiting the private marked areas. Not a single word nor greeting - very strange. Breakfast could be ordered and was prepared individually, but there was not even a little buffet, as any B&B would offer it to actually have something nice to look at and have a nice choice. To put it in a nutshell, extremely overpriced for what you get. We had much better value for money in all other approx. 40 accomodations we have been to in ZA so far.
