Hotel Splendido Bay

Best breakfast that we had in 10 days in Montenegro. Selection was huge.

So close to the beach, amazing kind staff that go above and beyond, and comfortable beds!

We stayed at the hotel for one night before heading off on a trip to the mountains. The hotel is charming, the staff is wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent and very generous. We were given a very small room, but it was clean and comfortable. Since we were only staying for one night, we didn’t need to unpack our suitcases, so the size worked fine for us. I believe the hotel has different room types, so I can only speak about the room we stayed in. The location isn’t close to anything particularly interesting, but there is a nice little promenade about a 20-minute walk away.

The room was very small and cramped, and it was difficult to access with heavy suitcases, as the elevator only goes to the hallway and there are several stairs to reach the room. The location is not close to any major attractions or central areas.

The bed was surprisingly comfortable . The mail receptionist was help full and friendly .

Very old the room was drab reminded me of a 60 trainstation waiting room with a bed thrown in . The carpet had years of stains on it the light above the bed is covered in dust .But the bathroom was the dirtiest I've ever seen it was a toilet a sink and shower rammed into the smallest space pissable you could sit on the toilet wash and shower at same time . Except the shower only worked as a tap as the lever to turn it to shower was jammed . Yellow stains in the toilet and all round the bottom of the shower was not nice to see . My transfer left before I got out the airport even though ide messaged the hotel prior to tell them I was in a massive queue . I got to the hotel an HR later than Exspected and the room was not ready I had to wait 20 min to get in . The lad on reception gave me a free drink and was very helpful unlike the girl who was on at evening I asked for a beer while I waited for my phone to charge . She replied the bar is shut it was 8pm the bar was 4 ft away and was as far as I could see never open yet the boy was happy to serve a drink . and a price list on reception wall she was just to busy on her phone to get me a drink no doubt losing the hotel money . The upstairs bar was used as a laundry and the sun terrace used to dry the laundry so customers could use niether . It states on booking .com and its own leaflets that they had TVs and reading lamps in each room . Mine had Niether ..I certainly wouldent recommend to a family or any one taking young children . The whole place needs modernising and carpets replacing along with the bathrooms or at least a seriously good clean and bleaching .I thought it was a bargain when I booked it now I feel over charged . Ps the curtains only come down 3 quarters of the way down the window the bed is low so soon as the sun rises it comes through like a vampire movie straight into your face not good at 6am onwards .
