Although the food was a little expensive, it was excellent and far beyond our expectations. The staff were all kind, polite, and helpful. Each time we returned to the hotel, they welcomed us with warmth and care. It truly felt like coming home to family. I really loved that feeling, especially while traveling in a foreign country. It made us feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. We had a wonderful stay here!

The ryokan is situated right outside of Arashiyama, which gives an amazing view of the forest and the mountain. It also means that it's quiet at night, and we had very peaceful sleep during our stay here. The staffs were also very professional and provided us with great service.
No comment about the ryokan itself, but if you're planning to explore Kyoto, this place might be a bit out of the city, hence it would be troublesome to travel into Kyoto.

The air conditioning was very old . It kept turning off every few minutes . In this heat it was impossible to stay without AC
