We loved the remote aspect of the place, you really are in the middle of nature, we were woken by monkey feet on the roof and one peering under the canopy at us.
The kitchen were able to adapt the menu to be vegan and we had a delicious dinner and breakfasts.
There are lots of activities that can be arranged, unfortunately the weather stopped us, but this can’t be helped after all you’re in the middle of the jungle.
We were also able to get a short tuk tuk ride into the main town, we were advised not to walk after dark as there are wild elephants in the area.
We would recommend doing the short hike up nearby Pidurangala rock for sunrise, this was incredible.
Total relaxation and an experience we will never forget.
Not a criticism as it was fine for us, but the open air aspect of the rooms can make it very noisy when it is raining hard and early hours of the morning with bird noise. We loved this but if you sleep light you may want to bring ear plugs.

The setting was absolutely beautiful nestled in the jungle with a beautiful little sign showing the way. This is a hidden gem, the only noise was the abundance of wildlife, butterflies, birds, monkeys-at night it was a beautiful sound with fireflies lighting up the tree house around you. The wooden structure itself was truly part of the natural setting a real tree house-you felt at one with nature but with all the facilities from the inside outside shower designed in a modern yet rustic way- we were with our two older teenagers who were blown away by its setting. It had exceptional bedding and is a really big size space- ours had two double beds on opposite sides a seating area and a single bed with a net balcony to lay on and gaze up at the canopy teaming with wildlife-gorgeous. This really is an experience in nature- the real deal. The food is fantastic and the setting for eating and hanging out is rustic and charming. The lovely staff and managers go out of their way to explain and show you the wildlife, they arranged a safari to Kaudulla which they recommended and is was fantastic the lovely local guide was brilliant, we saw so much wildlife including elephants ...we were on our own for most of the trip- such a memorable experience. The location couldn't be better as you can walk up to Pidurangala which has incredible views and is a ten minute walk away. Sigirya is just a small quiet tut tut ride away . Back of beyond is at it says! and exceeded all our expectations- Thank you so much. Katharine, Paul and two older teenagers.

was in the jungle, fantastic night sky for star gazers. it is a legitimate tree house out in the open air. it was a good experience. it is more costly than other hotels i stayed in but you pay the price if you want the experience
it is lot more costly than most hotels i stayed in but i guess thats what you pay for the experience. bedding and room fixtures are a bit worn

Nice tree hut and what a great experience to sleep in the (semi) jungle, waking up to the wonderful sounds of nature, I really liked it. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was really nice.
2 points to make it better : In the tree hut we slept in, there were some large holes in the moskito net so would be good to repair those. During our stay, Internet (available in communal area) was not working for us which made it challenging to plan the rest of the trip especially as the area is remote, the network is almost inexistant. It was fixed on our last morning

Website says they take vida, but they only take cash. Cicadas were a bit much this time of year, but nothing to fault the facility for.

The staff were so accommodating, welcoming, enthusiastic and attentive. There were a lot of great activities to do in the area. The tree houses were so fun to stay in and kept us nice and dry in the rain. The food was delicious too!

Of course this is a place in the nature & the infrastructure are minimal. But this is totally overpriced for the quality, the service that they offered. All the furniture aged badly. The bed is full of humidity.

We really liked the outside feeling. Especially the outside shower! The property was very clean, food was very good although a bit pricy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Walking distance from Pidurangula and Sigiriya rock.

Amazing experience sleeping in the middle of the jungle - when I first arrived in the room I almost regretted booking the tree house as I felt a bit scared of the insects and animals, but ended up having exceptional sleep and felt super safe afterwards! don’t hesitate to book there.
Food is delicious and the staff (especially in the restaurant!!) were super friendly
Slightly overpriced compared to other hotels in the area but I guess it is the price to pay for such exceptional experience

The friendly and so helpful staff. The lake trip was incredible. The accommodation was as awesome as the picture portrays. The food was delicious and coffee good. The advice on Sri Lanka was spot on.
The bed was a little firm for me but I did sleep well. Last day we had a cold shower for some reason as all other days was hot.

Wonderful! every morning between 5:00 am and 9: 00 am, we could see the macaques feeding in the trees just in front of our room!

We stayed here for two nights on the 14th June. From the moment we arrived the gentleman (didn't get his name) was amazing. He was 62 years old and did everything from carrying our cases to getting our drinks, serving breakfast and dinner to making the room up. The conversation about his family and his life where amazing to hear. Honestly he is a credit and I dont think we will ever forget him. The photos do not do this hotel justice. Every little detail had been thought out. The tree house room view was stunning. Such a beautiful hotel with such hostile staff. Great variety of food and just an all round amazing place to stay. Thankyou for making our honeymoon that extra bit more special.

we stayed in the tree house. Such a cool room to sit out and watch the trees and hear the sounds of the jungle. The bathroom and rain shower was clean and lovely, as was the breakfast and dinner we ate in the restaurant. Great place to stay.

- My childhood dream to stay in a tree house has been finally fulfilled 😀 beautiful place in the forest with the sounds of birds which add an interesting atmosphere to the place.
-The staff are so friendly and helpful and always there when I needed help, they recommended amazing places and tours for me and they asked me every night what to chose on dinner.
- The place is very clean very close to every place you’re be interested to visit in Sigirya.
- I highly recommend this place.

An amazing experience to sleep in a tree house. It was spacious and comfortable and the staff were incredibly friendly. The breakfast was lovely.
Obviously being a tree house the property is very open and there are lots of creatures. The cicadas in particular were out in full force and we would recommend keeping the lights off at night to avoid them flying all over the rooms. They can be quite loud in the morning too, but alas part of the experience.

This is a full rainforest experience. The crickets are loud during the day but quiet down at night so you can get some rest.
The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the chef is excellent with over 30 years experience of local food. We ate there 3 nights out of 4 and it’s delicious.
Also the lake sunset boat trip and loris night watch are definitely worth doing.
You will also come across some friendly critters in the outdoor bathroom, but all part of the fun.
It states that there is air conditioning in the lodges however there is only a ceiling fan and there is no a/c anywhere on the property. We got used to heat and some cold showers helped us adjust.
