The warm welcome and excellent breakfast host. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Lovely quiet location.
The views from our room over the garden were really nice.
Breakfast was well presented and very tasty, with lots of choice. We appreciated the tips on where to visit locally and were able to visit places on our journey south. Our dog was made welcome and we were able to walk her through the grounds. Thank you for an enjoyable stay 😊

The hosts are very welcoming. Very personal. Big rooms with everything you needed. Extremely dog friendly, so it felt nice that our dog could wander around as if in her own home.

The positive reviews are right - this is an amazing building in a great location. The decor is charismatic, and the space generous. Colas is a most friendly and responsive host, and it feels like a real passion for him. This place is probably best enjoyed in summer, when lots of other guests are present, when I'm sure its unique features and no doubt beautiful grounds really stand out.
Unfortunately, we arrived on a cold and very wet autumn evening. Colas had let us know earlier in the day, very nicely, that he wouldn't be there, so we entered an empty and a bit dark chateau entirely by ourselves that wasn't the warm and convivial atmosphere we were hoping for. We had to leave early before breakfast was available at 0830. It's no-one's fault, but it is a reminder that this place is probably best enjoyed in summer, perhaps for a wedding, and not on a dark, wet, raining evening when no-one else is there and it's dark and cold :-(
