Very beautiful hotel. Very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location.
The only negative was that the washing machines were old twin tubs. I just walked to the corner and had my laundry done beautifully. 4,200 real (US$1.05) for 1.4 kilos. (Of course I tipped.)

The outdoor common areas, such as the pool, the eating area, and the lounge, were very nice.
The location was also very good. It was a few blocks from the river promenade, with many stores, restaurants, and a market nearby. The area was also quiet.
The staff was very friendly and was always available if I needed something.
I'm the lounge area, the pool table was crusty, musty, dusty.

We loved the pool and used it a lot as it is conveniently right outside the rooms if you are on the ground floor. Location is good within easy walking distance to restaurants.
The rooms are very dated and with a bit of sprucing up could be a lot more comfortable. No luxury here but basics are covered. All the signs and rules feel a bit unnecessary and off putting. If the TV has a problem (all TV’s it seems) remove them don’t just put up a sign!
