Really enjoyed my stay here. The hostel was very clean, the rooms were nice, and the location was great. The owners were super friendly and always eager to help make the stay as good as possible. Big thanks also to the hostel volunteer Leon for keeping such a good and welcoming energy around the hostel. It’s also a great place for learning surfing and meeting people.

This family-run surf lodge is the perfect mix of top-quality surfing lessons and genuine hospitality.
From the moment you arrive, you feel cared for by a family who truly wants to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Claire is a star for always making sure everyone is looked after with kindness and attention, eager to meet our needs. She’s also wonderful to chat with and always has the best stories to share! Duncan, not only a flexible chauffeur but a true ocean expert generously sharing his deep knowledge with all of us with genuine enthusiasm, while Dane is an outstanding instructor who gives thoughtful feedback and motivates you to push your limits in the best way.
Lastly, the family-oriented atmosphere of the lodge naturally brings together people from all over the world, creating a warm, welcoming community where I connected with so many interesting people (and even made new friends within just a few days!).
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, both in and out of the water. I am super grateful, and I can't wait to come back again.

A beautiful surf lodge run by a beautiful family! The area is great with good quality Portuguese restaurants nearby and a stunning beach lookout. Surfs were consistent and decent in may and the lessons were great. Very chill vibe at the lodge and would definitely stay again. Bring warm clothes in the spring!

Clare and Duncan are two of life's brilliant people. They exude kindness and warmth. Anyone who comes to stay here will not want to leave. It was such a pleasure to come back after so many years.
