There were many things to like about Villa Carioca. The historic buildings are charming, the grounds and surrounding scenery are breathtaking, the food was reasonable in price and of excellent quality. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The beds were comfortable.
The location is a little tricky to access using public transport. The bus from Verona stops about four kilometres from Villa Carioca and it was impossible to get a taxi. Luckily the school bus was able to take us!

Beautiful place
Pool didn’t open till 10am which I thought was a shame. Plus the room was made up for 4 people so we didn’t have a couch but only a spare bed and when we asked reception they just said that’s the way it is.
