Lovely setting. Beautiful scenery
We arrived after a long day’s drive later than we had expected at four minutes past eight in the evening. We were told that the restaurant had closed at 8 o’clock and that no food could be ordered. The restaurant was still quite full and people were still eating but the staff member insisted that food could not be ordered after 8. It was four minutes after 8. Eventually he agreed that we could have some soup but only soup. Felt that this was quite unreasonable and no effort was made to help us as guests. Felt he was very offhand and unfriendly. Didn’t even bring any bread with the soup. Had to ask. Also informed that coffee machine was being switched off shortly so if we wanted a coffee we better have it immediately. This was before 8.30 in the evening. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.
