This was my second time staying at Hotel Germania. The best thing about the hotel is undoubtedly its very friendly staff. Besides that, the location is good, about 10-15 walk from the city center. The rooms are very clean, the beds are very comfortable. I had a nice view of the volcanoes from my room this time. There was some noise from the street early in the morning, but nothing too bad. The breakfast buffet was very good, with lots of options. It's served in a very nice area on the ground floor. When you show up for breakfast, a nice lady will ask you whether you'd like some eggs. If you say yes, she will bring a couple of scrambled eggs for you. Overall, a very nice stay. I'll definitely be staying at Hotel Germania again next time I'm in Puerto Varas.
Some minor details coud be better, but nothing really worth mentioning here.

Nothing was outstanding
Reception staff (apart from the gentleman) were quite rude, they never acknowledged us. There was no proper restaurant or bar area, the lounge area looked like someone had dumped all their old furniture in it, staff were working from the tables. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable but the front looked on to a busy road and the back looked on to a railway track! No air con in the rooms
Hotel in need of upgrading, quite far from town centre if you were walking.
Most expensive hotel on our trip so far and definitely not worth it.
