The food was great and the night porter was very helpful providing support when we arrived late. The breakfast service, once seated was excellent and the choice for breakfast was lovely, just a shame about the booking for the dog.
We arrived late due to your property stating it was dog friendly yet when I called to check the booking, I was told that the room was not dog friendly. We then had to find a last minute kennel making us late. We booked a different hotel on our return due to this otherwise we would have come back. The issue was compounded by the fact that when we arrived for breakfast, the waitress asked for our room and then said 'Have you got the dog' - clearly we were noted as wanting a dog-friendly stay.

No one around for check out so had to leave the key however, other than that room and hotel were great for the price. One thing to note the church bell rings every 15mins throughout the night.
lack of drop box/instructions ofr check out. Breakfast is a late start at 8am.

Characterful, central location. Nice breakfast room, rooms were tastefully decorated. En-suite and bedroom was clean. A decent range of breakfast options and cooked well.
Windows screwed almost shut. This resulted in the room being stuffy and airless in the hot weather and difficult to sleep. Bed felt tired and saggy. Just about adequate store for clothes. Packing difficult-not always spacing in the hotel’s car park. Tv remote did not always work. A request for a breakfast option that should have been there was not followed up. Some breakfast staff were rude. WiFi was poor.
