Beautiful location in a beautiful valley. Driving past giraffes and impala on the way in was superb. Excellent birding at the chalets.

Great for nature lovers… Not like anything else you’ll find in Beaufort West. Very comfortable and scenic.
The location on booking.com was deceiving… far off… Make sure you go in from Beaufort West. I hope that the owners will update the exact location, or send better directions in future.

The attention to small details. But what stood out was Miemie's welcoming and making sure that we were settled in. What added further detail was the personal touch when the evening staff checked in to see if everything was in order, what time we were leaving, and whether we needed any assistance. This small gesture made a great impression; although it serves the lodge, it holds meaningful value for the visitor.
It is a beautiful section of the Karoo, situated in a valley on the way to Loxton. I believe there is more to be done from an eco-tourism point of view, and this should be promoted more, understanding that the roads are not of the best; game drives should be an option, as we saw springbok, rooibok, and giraffes.

The place was very cosy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the buck and giraffes trekking past us at night. The beds were comfortable.
There was lots of rain, which they cannot predict, but I think they should warn us in advance that there is a possibility of you not being able to use the 4x4 route, which is one of their drawcards.
The water pressure in our shower was not great at all. In the heart of winter, the last thing you want is a shower with low pressure and lukewarm water.
