An absolutely beautiful resort surrounded by lush tropical rainforest, with breathtaking views, clean beach and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, with a fantastic variety of options.
But what truly makes this place exceptional is the staff. From the reception and restaurant team to housekeeping and even the security guards, everyone goes an extra mile to make sure you feel welcome, comfortable and genuinely cared for. The attention to detail and hospitality at every level are spot on.
One gesture that really impressed us happened on our last day. We had to leave very early, before breakfast service started. After informing the hotel, the staff thoughtfully prepared a delicious and generous takeaway breakfast for us. Such a lovely touch that perfectly reflects the level of care.
We’ve stayed at few places on Koh Chang, and Sylvan was by far our favourite. A truly special place where beautiful nature meets exceptional hospitality. We would happily return!
And one little tip: make sure to visit Sylvie Café at the top of the hill for a delicious dessert. You won’t regret it! 👌🏼

We liked it. Yet it needs some upgrading / renovation. For instance, the bath hasn’t been renovated / taken care of in a long while. Proximity to the neighboring island is very convenient such as the complementary rental of Kayaks or SUP. Sushi was nice.
Some things such as bathroom needs to renovation. Quality of restaurant was ok, yet not great.

Good location with an excellent beach
Not well maintained. A lot of technical issues. Its no longer a 5-star property

The cleaning room was great: most friendly and very clean. The hornbill birds and the monkeys were interesting to watch. the family rooms are very spacious. the gardening work on the property is very beautiful. As our room was not as showed on the booking.com app we asked for a room change; the staff was very nice about it and tried hard to find solutions.
there is no proper beach in a sense that there is a seawall and a big sandy patch. the missing beach doesnt allow you to walk along the beach without getting into the water hip-deep. its a very big resort (at least 500 guests when fully booked in January) which also means it has some anonymity attached to it and they charge you 100bath a day for sand box toys which i found very stingy and not a good service for a hotel with so many family rooms.
