This is our fourth trip to Home Phutoey. We love the tranquil, jungle setting with rooms scattered throughout well maintained grounds. The combination of hot spring and regular swimming pools is awesome, plunging into the cool waters from the hot spring. The rooms are spacious and decorated to suit the jungle setting of the resort. The bathroom was huge, the rookm internet speedy and reliable. The staff are professional and friendly, the buffet breakfast is good, no one should regret staying here. For the best experience ,and ease of visiting nearby attractions, a private or rental car is beneficial.
For our personal liking, the bed was a little hard. Otherwise, it is hard to fault this resort. I only scored the resort 9 and lowered the confort score because of the bed. Optional mattress toppers for guests more used to soft beds would be a nice touch rather then the hard-style Thai bed arrangement.

In a word…amazing. Got some of the best sleep of the trip here. Very kind and generous staff, delicious food, and stunning surroundings. Make sure to walk the short distance to the waterfall and take a dip.

We booked a villa with the outside hot tub with natural mineral water, the villa was good and the hot tub was good.
The staff are very good and respectful.
we were advised that at 1600hrs and 0700hrs a man will come and refill/change the water in the tub. we had to ask for that to happen on the first afternoon, we called reception at approx 1730 hrs . on day 2 by mid afternoon our room had not been serviced, we had to ask for that as well, they did respond quickly.
The Weary Dunlop memorial and display is well presented but is definitely showing its age and lack of maintenance and care. Light bulbs were not working and humidity in the building is getting to all the displays. This is a private memorial by the resort owners (not government sponsored) Sir Dunlops ashes (some of them) were spread in the River KWAI in this location as the resort founder was a close friend.
