This isn't really a "hotel" but student rooms in the university district which are open to tourists during the holiday period. The rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds and fast wifi. Plus, you get a free buffet breakfast and tea/coffee/juice included every morning, there are also vending machines, and laundry facilities. Bologna historic centre is a 30 min walk away and you are also very close to the San Vitale train station and bus stops. Because it's a student area you also have cafes and affordable restaurants nearby.
The air conditioning was not very powerful, and switches off automatically when you leave the room. So when you come back to the room it takes at least an hour for the room to get to a comfortable temperature again.
The laundry facility requires you to download an app and create an account to use it. I don't want to give my data to a company just to wash my clothes once.

Everything was as it should be - and more.
Please note that the campus is a bit far from the city centre - but there's a train station just a stone's throw away, with frequent connections to Bologna Centrale.
Apart from a couple of pizzerias, restaurants seem to be few and far between in the area. There's a cool social center / cafe / pub right next to the building, though.

It is still good value for one night stay with breakfast
Electicity in our room at some point have stopped working, around 4pm. We went to city center shortly after and they told us they will fix it - they knew what was going on obviously. We came back around 10pm, but they didn't fix anything, we had to change room to another one.
Breakfast is written from 7:00 but in fact they are opening at 7:00 and taking out food and equipment. With early morning flight/other people plans we found it unprofessional from campus.
