Very friendly staff & great breakfast & service
9 / 10Outstanding·Oct 2026
For this price point and type of accommodation, you are comparing with the likes of Premier Inn, and this is better in every way. Comfortable rooms, characterful decor, all the facilities you would expect. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Solid breakfast offering and dinner was really excellent. The property and area are full of history. Don't miss the Jacobite monument in the beer garden.
The age of the property means there are some compromises in the room layout where they had to squeeze the bathrooms in. One of the showers wasn't working properly for our travelling companions.
9 / 10Outstanding·Oct 2026
Lovely clean room. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was amazing. Shower gel and hand soap provided were nice. Room was nice and warm.
Think guttering needs looking at it was raining all night. Constant dripping on windowsill.
6 / 10Average·Sep 2026
Location was convenient for our stay,as we travel to this location every year
Having previously staying at the property infact the same room (as requested) we thought we knew what to expect, but the room was quite dusty, the bathroom was not clean ,ie shower curtain, bath surfaces, washbasin. Staying for two days we were expecting the room to be serviced on the second morning as in clean cups/glasses tea /coffee replenished
