Wonderful private beachfront accommodation close to Muri

Waterfront location with private jetty, stunning views, amazing facilities with pool, bbq area, kayaks, snorkeling gear, and even a coconut shelling station. Apartments were really comfortable with everything we needed including a washing machine. Desiree was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. As a large extended family group of 15 we booked four adjacent units which was ideal. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely place

Great place to stay with so many lovely staff. Desiree and her team are so friendly and accommodating. Having some supplies in our room on arrival and fresh picked fruit when avaliable. Great location, close to town but far enough away to feel secluded.

Fabulous

Location was fabulous. Watching the sunrises, kayaks and safety gear, aqua shoes and snorkel gear all for use. Desiree was exceptionally helpful and just a lovely lady. Nothing was too much to ask and she helped visitors with everything from rental cars to locals only knowledge for eating, shopping and fishing. The sheltered side of the island from wind and not so busy with hoards of tourists snorkelling. Felt like we had a private island getaway.

Air conditioning in only one room would have been an issue if in the middle of summer but not an issue when we were there in early April.

We loved the hospitality from Desiree and her staff. Loved feeding the fish at the end of the jetty and snorkelling by the jetty .

Fantastic place for family and friends to stay together

apartment opened out to the water where you could swim off the jetty or paddle out on the kayaks r provided.

We had a leakage issue on one of the nights that there was a lot of rain. The snorkel gear provided wasn’t the bed quality

Superb

Great location at the beach, you can see the sunrise from the jetty and enjoy kayaking in the lagoon and go snorkeling. The staff are really nice. We all enjoyed staying at the accommodation.

Avana Waterfront Apts 🌺

My family and I LOVED this place. Normally, when staying in Raro, we stay with our family, so "going off on our own" was a new experience for us. From the moment our family (3 children under 12) my elderly, Father and myself) arrived, to the day we left, everyone we met/spoke with was friendly, accommodating, and lovely to deal with. I highly recommend this place for families with children and would not hesitate to stay here again ❤️ Meitaki maata no te takinga meitaki Ama Family

I didnt like the fact that we had to leave and go home. Will definitely stay longer during our next visit

was a good place at $230 per night not flash but adequate.

staff were pleasant, room clean and tidy.

didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t swim directly from the beach as it is rocky. we spent every day at Muri so we could do thus.

Perfect spot for a relaxing break!

The staff were awesome, specially Desiree! I had access to the water front from my studio, and had everything I needed - loved the relaxing atmosphere and my "neighbours"!

I had to walk 20 minutes to find a shop/café/restaurant.

Perfect for families

The pool was amazing. The views were fabulous. Our host was very helpful and friendly. The fresh fruit provided was lovely.

The apartment is not as modern as it appears in the photos. A bit dated and very hot with only air conditioning in one room. But it was spacious and had everything we needed.

A very generously sized and comfortable studio, in temperatures that warm the soul.

The receptionist, Desiree, was exceptional, and went out of her way to explain and inform. The provision of kayaks for use was wonderful when the complex is on the water's edge.

The scraggly tree outside our studio which obscured a clear view of the beautiful lagoon.

Enjoyed lots of space in the room and peace and quiet. Loved the fish at the end of the wharf and the general environment in the complex. Close to all the amenities of Muri are a real plus. Very pleasant staff who did a good job keeping the plus clean and tidy inside and out. Would love to take the grandkids there to enjoy the whole place.We made the most of no reliable TV programs and lack of reliable internet to really relax! Love the lovely warmth of Rarotonga and the sealife close-by in the lagoon which brings us back many times.

Neighbours could have done with some board games for their kids on the wet days too I think.

Location, quiet, kids were able to build a hut, crack coconuts and have a bonfire and feed the fish off the jetty. Loved the turtles too.

The inside cupboards smelled musty and the shower didn't have much pressure and took ages to drain.

Away from big crowds and families. At times we had the whole pool area to ourselves, which led to extra family fun.

You must hire a car to ensure you can travel and get to food, restaurants and beaches. Didn’t like the bonfire night.

Very good

Beautiful and clean I would highly recommend Avana. we all had our own bedrooms and space for ourselves. The pool and surrounding area was well taken care of. We were given butter, bread, and fruit which was really nice because it was our first trip to Raro, reception was awesome too.
