We stayed in Villa 2 . Very clean and well presented . Well equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay . Very comfortable bed . Beautiful view over Funchal from the spacious balcony . Great shower . Louise is lovely and a very welcoming & helpful host

Louise, our host, is very friendly and provides you with all the information you need prior to your stay. We hired a car and the directions Louise gave to the villa from the airport were excellent. The private parking area is very handy. We found the villa was ideally located to explore the island.
It was easy to walk into the main shopping areas. Going back is uphill with some very steep sections, depending on which route you take. Although we did walk back a few times, it isn’t an easy stroll and when we didn’t want to walk back, we used the Bolt app to order a taxi. We averaged about 5 euros a trip for this and I can recommend using Bolt if you don’t want to walk. We had Villa 3 which was the top villa and the views were outstanding. It was very nicely decorated and very clean. The bathroom is lovely and big with a large shower and a bath, along with two sinks. The bedroom also had plenty of hanging and storage space etc. I particularly liked to use the chaise lounge in the bedroom for reading. We found the bed very comfortable. We didn’t cook, apart from making snacks, as we ate out every day but it looked like it had everything you would need. There are plenty of lovely places to eat out. We particularly liked Apolo by Funchal Cathedral.
The views were particularly outstanding and there are a couple of kestrels that circle the area in and around the villa. My husband got some lovely photos of them.
When reading reviews before going, I had seen some people mention dogs barking. There is barking but it’s not something that bothered us at all and I stopped noticing altogether very quickly.
There is nothing about the property I can find fault with at all. The only thing I wasn’t particularly keen on was the road leading to the villa. It is very narrow in places due to parked cars. It’s not a very wide street anyway and if there were cars parked on the side then it was sometimes a bit of a squeeze to get passed in the car. I was probably just a bit more conscious of it because it was a hire car. It is one-way at the top of the street and becomes two-way just before where the entrance to the villa parking area is. We tended to avoid coming in from the top where it was one-way and we’d drive up from the bottom where it was two-way. It definitely wouldn’t put us off though and we’re already talking about booking again in the future.

The view was stunning! Great location right next to a bus stop and a quick way down to town.
