Convenient location with some food options and a small night/morning market downstairs. The beds were comfortable and the balcony was nice to have. The air conditioning was quiet and worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful but most needed me to use what little Chinese I know or a translation app.
The bathroom in our room had a very bad odor. It seemed to be coming from the toilet at random times. Initially, when I enquired about it the staff told me it was normal and offered to clean the bathroom again and hang a scent sachet. On our last day of our stay, I ran into the same staff member again and she asked if they had changed our room for us. Apparently, after going in to clean the bathroom she agreed that it smelled worse than what was acceptable and asked her manager to offer to change our room. I don’t know if the manager forgot to ask or never saw us since we were out until pretty late each day, but nobody offered us a room change until she saw us again on that last night and by then, with only one night left, we didn’t want to bother with the hassle of changing rooms.
