Exceptional

Characterful property in a lovely setting. Room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were very helpful. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent - certainly not standard pub grub!

The food was exceptional and the staff were lovely. Surrounding area is breathtaking and the bar area was relaxing.

Sadly due to the age of the building our room was noisy.

Really welcoming, warm and friendly inn

The staff were all great and went out of their way to make our stay special. The attention to detail was great and made for a really special stay. The room we had was clean, comfortable, quiet and had a lovely view (despite the rain). The bathroom was large, spacious and clean. The food in the pub was really great and the beer was well kept. It was also nice to see that they had a real, local cider on the handpull too. So glad we stayed and we will definitely be returning in the future.

I didn't stay for longer. There's so much to explore.

A one night stay to break the journey to Cornwall. Well worth the stay and we'd do it again.

We were greeted with a smile. Meals were very good. The staff were all very friendly.

The most welcome sight after walking the Templar Way from Teignmouth..

The staff were wonderful, food delicious, bed really comfy. Fantastic place, can't wait to come back!

Nice for a weekend

Staff were all lovely. Evening meal excellent. Breakfast good

Room was cramped. Decor rather dated and dowdy. Bathroom was similarly very cramped and shower less than good

Pretty perfect

Dinner was excellent, as was breakfast. We come because we find the food and ambience of the dining room is always good.

Reading lights should be provided. The small side lights do not give out enough light to read properly

lovely staff. fantastic food. too fussy about dogs even though they report to being dog friendly

old parts were very quaint

too many areas/rooms which didn’t allow dogs in. no pub area where one could sit comfortably having a drink by a fire.
