What an absolute gem of a place. It’s located about a 7 minute walk from the town which is a perfect distance to get into the green beauty that people come to Mindo for. The staff are so friendly and helpful, in particular Maria who speaks English. She helped us to book taxis, arrange outings and recommend guides. The breakfasts are generous and delicious and we watched hummingbirds dot about while we ate. We had booked the lovely little cabina and had two hammocks to ourselves but there is also a separate hammock space with 6 or 8 places for doze in. On the property a short walk down from the accommodation is a lovely place by the river where they have built changing rooms and a a picnic area. We sat with our feet in the river while giant blue butterflies floated by. Mindo Real is an idyllic place and ginormous value for money.

Thanks for the really helpful hosts who communicated well before and during our stay. All the recommendations they gave us were great especially the bird watching.

This place is amazing. The breakfast is unreal and was different each day we were there. The staff (Maria) were incredible helpful, and always available, they gave insights on where to go and helped book all our taxis. Our kids loved the pool! Our rooms were cleaned everyday with new towels, and the showers were always hot. The attention to detail was incredible. We stayed in one of the little cabins as a family of four and it was just perfect.
The pool is a bit cloudy, but it was cleaned everyday.

Great location, it’s a short walk from town. Extremely kind staff, very accommodating and made us feel so comfortable. Breakfast was so delicious each day, and they kindly accommodated for my celiac (I didn’t even have to remind her, she was prepared for the next day)! We have nothing but positive things to say regarding our stay. Definitely recommend staying in the private hut, it is super cozy :)
