The room was of a good size, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. We ate in the pub both nights and food was very good. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.
The pub is on the main Settle to Kendal road, so if the room is facing the road, can be a bit noisy. Fortunately the traffic is minimal at night!

In general it is a nice hotel. The staff were hard working, friendly and the food was very good.
The rooms back on to a very busy A road and it was very noisy with cars and lorries. This was particularly bad given that it was so hot and i had to have the windows open. A very poor nights sleep. There was no wifi in the room and breakfast didn't start until 8:30 so we were very late getting on the road.
