Breakfast was okay but very simple

Huge space, daily service and breakfast provided. Lovely staff. Very comfortable. Staff carried out luggage up many steps indoors and outdoors. Beautiful private pool and gardens. Close to shopping, food, mini mart, massages.
Monkeys visit up to door step and run away with cushions. Full of mischief. Fun ti watch but like a nibble if you get too close. Don’t leave anything outside.

The villa is lovely. It's in a great location, close to one of Ubud's main streets. The staff are very helpful.
Breakfast could be better—it could have more quantity and variety.

The location was handy to good local restaurants, a convenience store, transport in Jalan Bisma and far enough away from the road to be quiet in terms of traffic noise. The basic set up was reasonable, and the garden surrounding the entrance to the villa was quiet pleasant. The staff came quickly if you needed them. The villa was private and the pool was good.
Nobody told me about the building noise coming from the site adjacent to the villa, and the constant trail of workers carrying building materials through the front of The Jumah site. The owner of the property was overseas at the time of my two week stay, and the young men looking after the property had little information or authority. The property itself needs an upgrade and major maintenance. One of the bedrooms smelt strongly of mould and there was no external ventilation available for it. Quite of few of the fittings were broken like electrical outlets and the shower head was rusted through. The drainage in the shower was poor with resulting floods onto the bathroom floor. The worst feature was the lack of an A/C unit in the living area meaning it was either hot, or you had to open the place to the mosquitoes in an attempt to try and cool it down. I'm afraid that building boom in Bali is likely to affect visitors in many contexts, as locals want to cash in on Bali's popularity. There was quite a bit of construction in the Bisma area. It would be worth checking about whether this affects any property you are considering.
