Fantastic location up in the hills surrounded by greenery. Comfortable room. Great food and wonderful staff especially Ashan their resident driver.
Not a dislike but we were next to the unfinished swimming pool and restaurant- it’ll be even better when finished.

We stayed at Hanthana House for three nights during Kandy’s big festival. It is a beautiful place, surrounded by lush jungle. The location is excellent, in the hilly area above the city, so it is quiet and peaceful, but the city center and the main tourist attractions are still very easy to reach by tuk tuk.
The family who run the hotel are very attentive and communication with them was excellent. They also helped arrange tuk tuks whenever we needed them.
Every morning we had a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast on the terrace, and one evening we stayed for an excellent Sri Lankan dinner as well. The rooms are super clean and spacious. We also really liked the way the rooms are spread out around the two houses, with small separate sitting areas that give each room a sense of privacy.

Spacious, had separate bedrooms, huge comfortable beds, giant bathrooms, central sitting area. Rooftop seating and lounge. We basically had a small villa to ourselves. The staff were amazing and did everything they could to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Food was great. They changed the menu each morning we were there. If you have a chance I would highly recommend staying here.
