Very friendly staff. Room was fine and had a Nespresso machine. Bathroom was clean and functional. Food was good and reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere in the pub/restaurant.
We had a twin room and the was a little small, but comfortable.

It was perfect for a stopover on a long drive home! We really enjoyed our dinner- from a good and varied menu. Despite it being her first shift, our young waitress looked after us very well! The ?manager supervised her in a sensitive, helpful way.
We were on the ground floor at the back so there was no road noise (we've learned from experience to ask for that, if it's possible!) but unfortunately whoever was in the room directly above, clumped backwards and forwards continuously from 6.30 till 7.30 am- that was really noisy instead!

The bed and pillows were comfortable.
It was rated highly and we disappointed that the bathroom silicone was very discoloured and mouldy. The soap tray had not been cleaned and had resonants of old soap.
We were not informed of the time for breakfast or the WiFi code.
