Host was great! Room and home were first class! He even stayed up with us into the night to help us try to get some help from after hours medical staff. He was very personable and very helpful with info about the area.

LOVELY and caring host with beautiful views (we even saw a rainbow the morning we got up!), felt like staying in someone's house the old Phil was so warm and welcoming, staying up late to greet us and sharing local stories. He clearly cares about the community and had so much knowledge and love for making this a great place to stay. He even let us use his cell multiple times to deal with the rental car company and helped another guest secure accomodation by calling a friend when he couldn't find anything available. We loved hearing the rain on the tin roof and that they collect rain water:) A bit hard to find in the dark, but there are signs to follow.
Note: it does feel a bit like you're staying in a room in someone's house (the way BnBs used to be) with a big living room and rooms near each other in the hallway. Not really an inn/hotel per say- and was a little surprised at first on entering but comfy, SUPER clean and a great place to rest after some drama with Milford Sound. Fresh homemade cookies! Worth it for Phil's hospitality:)
Only suggestion would be to have some non-dairy options for those who are lactose intolerant :) but not a biggie!

Very nice clean property
Little adjustment first day since this was our first time stay at Bed & Breakfast.

I like the host Phil. Very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was very good.
The bedroom was very small, did not have a wardrobe to hang clothes light was very poor. It did not feel as a very welcoming space.
