My husband and I stayed here for one night, and the hospitality was honestly the highlight of our stay. The hosts were incredibly warm, friendly and attentive, regularly checking in to make sure we were comfortable. They even followed up after our departure to make sure we’d travelled home safely, which I thought was such a thoughtful gesture.
They kept reminding us that we had a home in Lesotho whenever we visited, and they genuinely made us feel that way. It’s not often you come across such warm and welcoming hospitality.
The accommodation itself was lovely, with neatly presented rooms, a TV and impressively fast Wi-Fi. The location was another big plus. It’s conveniently situated close to the Lesotho–South Africa border, making access to the N8 really easy. The accommodation was also very reasonably priced, offering great value for money.
The property appears to be relatively new, and there are still some finishing touches needed, particularly outside, where the paving hasn’t yet been completed.
The room was also quite small for two adults, with very little space to move around the bed. It was perfectly manageable for one night, but I wouldn’t find it particularly practical for a longer stay. There was a small desk area with a stool, although it wasn’t the most comfortable setup for working.
A few basic amenities were missing, including a dustbin in the room, drinking water and soap in the bathroom. There was a soap dispenser, but it was empty. Thankfully, we had our own toiletries.
These are relatively small things, but I think addressing them would make a noticeable difference to the overall guest experience.
Overall: For the price, the accommodation offers good value, and the location is particularly convenient for anyone travelling between Lesotho and South Africa. There are certainly a few areas that could be improved, but the warmth and kindness of the hosts really made our stay memorable. They were genuinely lovely people, and that alone makes us want to return. We’d happily stay here again and look forward to seeing how the property develops. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!

I loved that the room was exactly as advertised , very clean and comfortable with beautiful interior design and attention to detail. Friendly staff and the manager is a beautiful and friendly host. The area is very quiet and just perfect for an easy morning.

The staff were amazing — warm, helpful, and truly made the stay memorable. I really enjoyed the village tour; it was authentic and gave a wonderful glimpse into local life. The food options were decent, and the scenery around the lodge was beautiful and peaceful.
Some of the facilities felt a bit outdated, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable. With a few upgrades to the rooms and amenities, it could easily match the quality of the service and setting.
