Zion Country is a lovely place to just go and relax…sleeping, writing or enjoying the ambiance with your romantic partne
I enjoyed the beautiful landscape. The rooms were quite comfortable.
The location is remote. Not much to do in the area and the cove is completely full of stones and the water is shallow which doesn’t allow for any swimming. There was only one kayak to rent but no other activities. The “beach” was covered in mossy patches of grass but underneath are stones so sturdy shoes are a must for both the grass area and the water. Entering the main cabin areas required navigating an incredibly steep staircase. There are slightly less steep stairs on the opposite side but no railing so again, not friendly for disabled persons. The larger room has no ocean views and is closer to the street. Ideal for disabled guests but will have to access stairs to join their party below. Hammocks we’re rusted over and unusable for one cabin. Floorboards are creaky in some places, including the stairs so watch your step. Balcony railings were loose, be careful leaning absolutely do not sit on the balcony railings! The included breakfast was neither inviting nor continental. We were served: coffee, tea, one hard boiled egg, a bagel that came with jam already spread on it, dry toast and another slice of toast with cucumber and mayo. This breakfast was charged a total of 6,000JMD for five people, not at all worth the price. Lot of miscommunication with the host made the stay less pleasant than it could have been. From the beginning our host seemed less inclined to have us as guests. Given the opportunity, I would have stayed elsewhere.

Excellent place for backpackers and adventurers to stay!
The location is great if you want to get away from busy tourist attractions. Lots of beautiful nature near by to explore. Free-I was super helpful in responding to our emails/ arranging transportation during our stay. We felt welcomed and enjoyed meeting Free-I and Owen (who made delicious vegetarian food!) The property is perfect for relaxing and bird watching and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood chatting with some locals. There's lots to do in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I really appreciate Zion Country and give my warmest recommendation
I like everything at Zion Country; especially the botanical garden is very beautiful and well maintained. All senses are stimulated; the sound of wildlife, the sight of plants, hummingbirds and the sea view and the smell of rainforest. Swimming and bathing in the bay is wonderfully; clean and clear water caresses your body. Your culinary sense of taste will be satisfied for dinner, wich allways is very delicious. In particular the interaction with the host and the cook is a great added benefit.
It could be love - with a hot bath :)
