Pleasant

We were given the choice of rooms and took one on the upper floor overlooking the road (track). This was modern and well lit with a balcony and en suite bathroom. There was also use of a kitchen which was also modern and well equipped. Rooms on the lower floor were grim! It was a pleasant village setting and a glimpse into rural life here. The Lady caretaker, Dimples, was very sweet and helpful.

Access was a pain; along a bumpy track with a tight turn into the yard. The dogs were annoying but not aggressive and had free run of the place. Water is an issue with rain collected and flowing through the taps when the pump is on. Piped tap water was supplied in a large container for cooking. Bottled water was be needed for drinking though. Few services outside Port Antonio as local shops stocked a very narrow range.

The fresh air was like medicine. The family was very nice and friendly.

Lovely place with beautiful facilities. The owners were amazing people, to all needs.

Great location and facilities, the decor in particular was beautiful. The owners were great company and friendly, catering to my needs and helping me with personal issues, often brining me food and treats.

Wi-Fi issues during the first few days.

Warm welcome at hillside hideaway

The woman who runs this property is truly amazing. She saw to all of our needs including fresh cut bananas and avocados and helping us with laundry. We wanted for nothing at this property and felt like family.

Taxi service can be sparse so better to rent a car or charter a taxi if you are in a rush.
