Lovely guest house for a short weekend trip

the entire house is beautifully decorated, clean and the gardens are kept neat. the rooms are bright and comfortable, beds a little too hard for my preference bathrooms are fairly big, shower pressure good and the inclusive breakfast was tasty host and staff were friendly

An excellent stay at a great guesthouse, wonderful hosts and superb location!

We stayed here as part of our Honeymoon for three nights. We arrived far earlier than we should have done due to the time of our transfers however out host couldn't do enough for us upon our arrival. We got a free room upgrade (quieter time of year when we went). The room itself was clean and comfortable and well sized with a good sized terrace outside. Beds were comfy and the TV had streaming services (not that we watched any). There was a swimming pool and hot tub at the villa as well but as it was winter when we went, we did not use these! The breakfasts included were immense. Whilst we normally eat smallish breakfasts, every day we ended up with a three course breakfast which could quite easily keep someone going all day. Whilst there was a menu on what to pick, Marcelle cooked us up something special each day as well. The hosts genuinely couldn't do more for us, they were always very pleasant and chatty, gave us advice on the local area, bought us coffee and cake in the evenings and even provided extra lights and lamps during load shedding. They didn't even mind us checking us out slightly late due to a last minute whale watching trip. The location was great as well, being about half way between the harbor and the the town, (about 10 minutes in either direction) and the coastal path is a 2 minute walk from the guesthouse. Would genuinely recommend this place to anyone going to the area!

It was a home away from home !

The room was very comfortable with a veranda leading into a beautiful garden . Breakfast was very enjoyable with a good spread . Marcelle was a good host and made us feel at home , enjoyed her chats in the mornings !

Our stay at Villa Venusta was outstanding. It is a total gem which we don't want anyone else to know about! Marcelle is an amazing host and we rapidly became firm friends. She cares deeply about the property and has put a lot of work into it: maintaining its original character whist adding wonderful modern touches like a fabulous pool and hot tub. Of particular note is Marcelle's IT background which ensures that even with load shedding the internet doesn't miss a beat. This makes the guest-house an ideal base for remote working. And when you've finished your call, the unbelievably beautiful cliff walk into wonderful Hermanus is less than 5 mins away. We actually changed our itinerary to stay longer because we loved it so much. Rooms charming, clean and comfortable, and breakfast far too nice to maintain a waistline. We will definitely be back and. cannot recommend the place highly enough. Dave & Kate

A stunning and secure property, beautiful decor, Marcella was the perfect hostess. Not far from the beach, the easy cliff walk, shops and restaurants.. I would thoroughly recommend this guest house and Hermanus.

The host and staff were very friendly, the room was clean, bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi was amazing. Felt safe on the property and it was a 2min drive from a restaurant. It was perfect for an overnight getaway for hubby and I. Would definitley go back again

Beaitiful luxurious, more like a 5 star boutique hotel. Excellent rooms, hosts very friendly and good recommendations of restaurants etc. Great location. Great breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely become our Hermanus getaway stay. Could not fault Villa Venusta.

5* cozy stay in Hermanus

This guesthouse feels like home! Proprty is exceptionally clean and tastefully designed. Quiet private location right on the cliff walk, just 10min walk to the city center with all the restaurants and shops. Delicious breakfast. Marcelle and Andrew are wonderful hosts and very sociable. I would love to visit again !

Wonderful stay at Villa Venusta

We were greeted on arrival by Ute, the owner and were made to feel very welcome instantly. Ute got to know our names straight away which we were very impressed with. Ute made us a delicious breakfast every morning and offered any type of egg with accompaniments. The choice of cereals, fruit salad, breads, cheeses, meats and cakes was exceptional. The Villa was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well appointed in every respect. The bathroom was very well equipped and luxurious. There is a small kitchen with oven, grill, microwave, fridge and freezer, which meant that we could eat in easily. The lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi was a bonus to enjoy after sightseeing. The Villa was only a few minutes walk from the cliff path with its spectacular views. We would definitely highly recommend Villa Venusta and will be back when we are next in the area.

Great place when visiting Hermanus

Villa Venusta is ideally located when visiting Hermanus, a little out of the center on walking distance. The property is very well managed by the owner who is welcoming guests and make sure they are settling in a good way. For breakfast her omelettes are to die for! Best ever I had :)
