A lively welcoming pub with bright en suite rooms above the pub. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room plus still water. Good pub food and drinks including a reasonably priced wine selection. Team were engaging and welcoming. Continental breakfast was good. Lots of parking. Made for a good stop off on the way to the West Country.

Location , near a garage with good shopping , large car parking
Bathroom good size ( no window)
Rickety stairs ,to upper floors, room small and very hot , a fan was given but too noisy to use , small double bed , a duvet was just too hot , a sheet would have been adequate in recent high temperatures . Rooms overlooked the beer garden so very noisy as was full of punters , we understood closes at 11 but only at 12 pm did we finally get some sleep , motorbikes were heard after that so didn’t get a good night sleep , continental breakfast only served here
