Absolutely. I’d keep it balanced because it sounds like the hotel was genuinely very convenient and had some great features, but the dust and mosquitoes are worth flagging for future guests.
The location is excellent if you have an early flight. The hotel is literally about 2 minutes from the airport and offers a free airport shuttle. With how unpredictable and crazy Guatemala City traffic can be, this gave us so much peace of mind knowing we didn’t have to worry about missing our flight the next morning.
The hotel is also located inside a gated community, which made us feel very safe. The patio and garden area are really nice, and breakfast was delicious. They even offered to pack breakfast for us if our flight was too early, which I thought was a really thoughtful touch.

There were a couple of downsides. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes around the reception and outdoor areas, so I would definitely recommend bringing mosquito repellent. Thankfully, we only had one make it into our room. The room itself seemed clean overall, but unfortunately the bed and pillows felt quite dusty. I kept sneezing whenever I got close to the pillows and eventually had to sleep without them. This was surprising because the rest of the room appeared well maintained. The shower is also very small, although that wasn’t a big deal for us.
