I stayed at the Heritage Stone House Retreat for two nights and loved my experience. As a solo female traveller, feeling safe and comfortable is always a priority, and this place exceeded my expectations. The Heritage Stone House was beautiful and full of character, and I felt secure and peaceful at all hours. The location was perfect for exploring, yet quiet enough to enjoy restful evenings. Free parking was a huge plus! I recommend this gem to solo travellers seeking a cozy and authentic stay in Stari Grad. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Everything I needed to know regarding parking, lockbox, etc., was communicated thoroughly via WhatsApp (with pictures too). The home was fully equipped (kitchen, bathroom), which was extremely helpful as my stay was over Easter Sunday and Easter Monday (public holidays). I could go on, but I think you get it. This is a home with history, a town with history; I am so glad I selected this property for my first stay in one of the oldest towns in Europe.
