Nice size, good view of the river. Front desk staff were excellent.
There was no cleaning provided as I had booked via Booking.com.
There was no brooms in the room to clean the floor myself. If you stay in a room for a week, some kind of cleaning is required.

Oaks is our favorite accommodation in Mackay! All the rooms we’ve been to had the most comfortable bed.
Too bad for us that is not every time we can afford to stay at Oaks ;(

We only stayed a night as we were travelling to the Sunshine Coast but I can say that our room was beautiful with nice bed and OK pillows. Restaurant below had a good menu list and their breakfast was superb.
Our initial 'wayfinding' was sketchy as we weren't provided with all the hotel information and consequently we needed to make several visits and calls to reception as the in-room phone was not working. Not really a big problem but when you're only staying for one night, you expect all to be ready for you.
