The location was superb for us, but a car is essential if you want to go out exploring.
The village is within an easy 10-minute walk, with a small incline. The village has a lovely vibe, with 2 small supermarkets, a few tavernas, cafes, a bakery, and a petrol station. We ate out in the village on several occasions, and the food was really good.
The property was good, although it felt dated. It was well laid out and had everything we needed. There was no microwave as stated on the property schedule, but the host had a new one delivered within an hour of me phoning her. The cleaning was done as arranged on the 3rd day with fresh sheets and towels.
The pool was managed well, and we were also supplied with poolside towels in addition to bathroom towels.
There were beds for all of us (9), with the twin rooms upstairs.
The outside area was lovely and pretty, with exceptional views, and we made use of the pizza oven and BBQ on several occasions.
The twin bedrooms upstairs have no air conditioning, and the stairs were really steep. I would not recommend upstairs bedrooms for anyone who has even a mild physical impairment.
The furniture and fittings are dated. On arrival, one guest (with learning difficulties) got locked in the bathroom, causing quite a commotion and stress! We managed to get him to pass the key through the external window and unlock it from the other side. Thinking it was just a tricky door and combined with his LD, made it hard for him to turn the key, we advised him not to lock it during the rest of the stay, but on day 4, I actually got locked in the same bathroom and could not unlock it despite every attempt of turning the key. I had to bang on the door until someone heard me, and I passed the key out of the window again! The door escutcheons kept falling off too!
The kitchen was too small to function in, especially for so many people to cater for, and the hob was really dated. The fridge freezer is not an adequate size for large groups, as we were. Also quite sparse in the kitchen utensil drawers for cooking and preparing (knives were very blunt too).
There is not enough space to sit in the lounge area if we all wanted to sit together. 2 sofas for 9 people!
The outside furniture was not the comfiest; it would have made all the difference if the chairs outside were better quality, as we spent the majority of our time outside, socialising..
