One of our best stays during our bike tour

Very lovely room and atmosphere, great breakfast, extremely freidnly hosts! This is really the place to be if you want to experience the hospitality along the Mossel. It was also a highlight that the hosts also shared some local history and winery culture with us and the beautiful stary night.

Pleasant stay in peaceful location

We chose the place for its location on the Mosel but away from the busy tourist towns. I can speak and understand just a little German, but the owners were very helpful in speaking slowly and clearly, and we had no problems. Their son speaks English, but we didn't find it necessary to consult him. Everyone was friendly, the breakfasts were excellent, the room large and clean and comfortable, the wireless worked well, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. It was really hot while we were there, but there was a fan in the room and good cross ventilation (remember that only a few places in Germany are air conditioned) Briedel has 2 or 3 restaurants, but is not in itself a tourist destination, which was to our liking. We spent a day visiting Burg Eltz and another day just driving along the river. One of the boating companies stops at Briedel on Tuesdays and Thursdays and makes a day excursion upstream, but Zell is an easy drive, and many of the famous river towns are within an hour's drive. After seeing tourists swarming the streets in some of the larger towns, we were happy we stayed in Briedel. I think it would be a lot of fun in wine season, because there are numerous weinguts in town, and excellent wine is made right at the Rosenbaums.

We hebben 3 heerlijke dagen doorgebracht. Erg vriendelijke en gastvrije eigenaresse. Superschone kamer met balkon. Heerlijk ontbijt. Rustige omgeving. Ideale locatie voor uitstapjes in de omgeving. Ligt direct aan het fietspad langs de Moezel. Deze accommodatie raden we ten zeerste aan.
